Borneo Fashion Week (BFW) 2025 concluded in spectacular style after two dazzling days on October 10 and 11. With the theme “Fashion With Purpose,” this prestigious event not only reignited the glamour of modern fashion but also celebrated the spirit of sustainability, heritage, and the creative community at the heart of Borneo.

Founded and spearheaded by Stephanie Alcantara, former beauty queen and fashion visionary, BFW 2025 once again reaffirmed its place as a global bridge connecting artistry, ethics, and identity.

The first day opened with an official ribbon-cutting, welcoming remarks, and a captivating traditional dance performance that set the tone for the event. The runway then came alive with stunning collections from GC Jade, Bilang, Clarissima, Even Ong, Aldrin Artistry, and Hayden Ng, each presenting its own visual story of craftsmanship, culture, and contemporary design. Through bold palettes, intricate textiles, and avant-garde silhouettes, these designers transformed tradition into trend. As night fell, the atmosphere shifted to modern drama with striking showcases from Nasha Prive, Barzwang, Inayad, Wan Bynun, Jay K, Maswira Majid, and Ocely, captivating the audience at Pavilion Damansara Heights with applause and admiration.

The second day began with a heartfelt Sponsor Appreciation session, recognizing partners such as Cavu Fragrance, NADI Clinic, Pensonic, Esperer Cosmetiques, Laurastar, Felix Relocations, Jambo BSC, Kai Academy, Go Viral Labs, Music Force, ROGUES Café, and Pavilion Damansara Heights. Stephanie Alcantara also extended special thanks to the ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS), with representatives from Brunei, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia, for their strong support and contribution to this year’s success.

The afternoon featured exquisite showcases from Indra Murak, December Teo, Bianca, Saerah R. Kunjan, and Angelique, taking the audience on a journey from modern minimalism to avant-garde elegance. The night culminated in the BFW 2025 Awards Night, an evening of glamour and celebration featuring traditional performances, star-studded appearances, and runway presentations by Calvin Thoo, Nasha Prive, Heritage Wear, and Yacutha. Key awards included the Green Thread Award presented to Saerah R. Kunjan, Most Promising Designer to Ocely, Emerging Designer of the Year to Barzwang, Designer of the Year to Nasha Prive, Female Model of the Year to Rania, and Male Model of the Year to Ariq. The awards recognized visionaries who redefine beauty, push creative boundaries, and remain committed to authenticity and sustainability.

For Stephanie Alcantara, this year’s edition was more than just a milestone; it symbolized a movement. “This year reflects our dream to see fashion transcend beauty and embrace meaning. Every piece showcased at BFW 2025 carries a story of sustainability, heritage, and love for our earth and culture. I am deeply grateful to every designer, model, sponsor, and member of the media who made this event possible. Together, we’ve made BFW more than just fashion week—it is a statement, a heartbeat, and a purpose-driven movement,” she said.

The success of BFW 2025 marks a defining moment for Malaysia’s fashion landscape, especially for emerging talents from Borneo who are ready to shine on the world stage. Blending professionalism, creativity, and cultural pride, this edition stands as one of the most defining in the event’s history. With international designers, influencers, and media in attendance, BFW 2025 positioned Borneo as Asia’s rising fashion capital—where artistry meets authenticity and sustainability meets style.

Stephanie concluded by affirming that Borneo Fashion Week is no longer just an annual event, but a living identity, a voice for fashion with meaning.
