TRANSFER: On Wednesday, Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) formally introduced 27-year-old Syrian Jalil Elias, who had previously competed in the Argentine league, as a new acquisition for the Southern Tigers team.
JDT made the announcement via a video that was posted to Johor Southern Tigers’ official Facebook page.
The 27-year-old central midfielder can, in the opinion of His Majesty, who is also the Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ), add more balance and strength to the South Tigers’ midfield.
With the discharge of several imports this season, notably Diogo Luis Santo and Leandro Velazquez, Elias will satisfy the import requirement for the Southern Tigers.
Jalil Elias is now the most expensive player in the Malaysian League (M-League) reaching a value of 3 million Euros (RM15.2 million).
