  • INNOVATIVE MARVELS: 2023 OPPO INSPIRATION CHALLENGE GLOBAL FINALS IN REVIEW.

    After the Global Final Demo Event in Singapore, OPPO has revealed the five winning proposals from the 2023 OPPO Inspiration Challenge. Led by the OPPO Research Institute and backed by industry leaders including Qualcomm, GSMA 5G IN, Amazon Web Services, and LinkedIn, the challenge featured two distinct categories: “Inspiration for People” and “Inspiration for the Planet”. These categories aimed to uncover robust solutions in alignment with OPPO’s commitment to “Virtuous Innovation”. Following a series of regional challenges and an intensive acceleration camp, a total of 687 proposals were submitted by teams from 66 countries and regions around the world. From this diverse pool, five exceptional proposals were chosen. These winning teams will now engage in deeper collaboration with OPPO and its partners to bring their innovative ideas to fruition.

    “We are extremely grateful for the collaborative support of our partners and to all the technology professionals and entrepreneurs who have taken part in this year’s OPPO Inspiration Challenge, especially the top five teams who truly demonstrated the incredible potential of innovative technology,” said Jason Liao, President of the OPPO Research Institute. “Following five months of extensive evaluation, we have seen many innovative and cutting-edge solutions to a number of critical but overlooked social issues raised by start-ups from around the world. Together, through the Inspiration Challenge, we look forward to working with these teams to bring the power of virtuous innovation to all corners of the world.”

    During the Global Final Demo Event, OPPO collaborated with six startup teams from both this and last year to showcase their cutting-edge products and prototypes. Among them, Bluepha Co., Ltd. has teamed up with OPPO to create environmentally friendly packaging for mobile phones, as well as art installations made from biodegradable materials that showcase both the lightness and flexibility of OPPO’s foldable smartphones and OPPO’s commitment to the environment. Woola, another sustainability-focused startup, demonstrated its packaging for the OPPO Watch made from recycled wool. One of the winners of last year’s Inspiration Challenge, TangTang Quan, returned to the stage this year to demonstrate the results of its collaboration with OPPO, promoting a blood glucose monitoring function for the OPPO Watch 4 Pro that enables diabetes patients to monitor their blood glucose levels in real time using a customized smart watch interface.

    This year, OPPO also teamed up with Deloitte China for the first time to launch an acceleration camp prior to the Global Final Demo Event. During the camp, experts from the OPPO Research Institute joined members of OPPO’s software, hardware, investment, universities and research, IoT departments, and industry experts from Deloitte to engage in discussions with the top 15 teams and provide advice on technology, industry trends, and the business prospects of their proposals.

    At the end of the event, five winning proposals were ultimately selected from among fifteen finalists by a panel of judges comprising members of the OPPO Research Institute, OPPO’s investment department, and experts from Temasek International, GSMA, Fidelity International, and XNode. The judges assessed the proposals against the four criteria of feasibility, innovation and originality, long-term potential, and social values, with winning teams each receiving a grant of USD $50,000 plus opportunities to further develop their ideas in collaboration with OPPO and its partners. Further to this, “3D interactive platform” and “Flint Paper Battery” were awarded the People’s Choice awards in the “Inspiration for People” and “Inspiration for the Planet” categories, and “Impulse (Non-Surgical Hearing Aid)” and “Flint Paper Battery” received the Media Choice awards.

  • KEJAYAAN GEMPITA: FAMILI DUO 2023 KINI JADI PILIHAN UTAMA 3.8 JUTA PENONTON.

    Program Famili Duo 2023 di TV3 terus mendominasi slot hiburan pada malam Ahad dengan menarik perhatian sejumlah 3.8 juta penonton (sumber: Nielsen), dari jam 9.00 malam hingga 11.00 malam. Episod pertama ini jelas mengatasi rancangan lain yang bersiaran serentak. Pengumuman kemenangan bagi pasangan duo keenam telah menjadi berita mengejutkan yang memberikan kesan besar kepada program realiti FD2023. Sharif Kadir Doli Sharif dan abangnya, Mohd Syaiful Doli Sharif, berjaya menjadi juara mingguan untuk minggu pertama, memberikan kejutan yang membanggakan. Komen positif dari juri turut menyatakan kepuasan terhadap penampilan cemerlang pasangan adik-beradik ini.

    Menurut juri tetap Mas Idayu atau dikenali dengan nama pentasnya Mummy, “Untuk menukar karakter dari sebuah program lawak ke program nyanyian realiti yang lebih serius mungkin agak sukar, tetapi Sharif dan Syaiful berjaya memberikan persembahan terbaik mengikut rentak Famili Duo melalui cara tersendiri. Kamu berdua berjaya menyusun lagu yang bermain dengan elemen rock, dangdut dan juga lawak. Itulah yang dinamakan kreativiti. Itu juga ciri-ciri yang dicari pada para peserta Famili Duo selama ini.” 

    Ajai juga turut puji persembahan keseluruhan Sharif dan Syaiful. “Kamu tahu cara untuk mengikut rentak lagu, kamu juga tahu penyampaian perasaan mengikut susunan lagu yang bersesuaian. Saya sangat bersetuju dengan susunan lagu yang kamu telah mengolah supaya memanfaatkan kekuatan kamu. Perkara itu saya ‘salute’. Saya harap benda ni berkekalan dan prestasi kamu berdua terus naik sehingga konsert terakhir,” ulas Ajai.

    Baru-baru ini, Sharif dan Syaiful telah memberi bayangan kepada para penonton tentang pencabar utama mereka bagi musim ini iaitu Ryan dan Adam Bakery.     Tayangan Khas “magiK” Mencapai Kejayaan untuk Menyentuh Hati Penonton

    KUALA LUMPUR (SABTU) – Tayangan istimewa filem “magiK” yang dianjurkan oleh syarikat produksi 42nd Pictures Sdn Bhd, yang dikendalikan oleh pasangan suami isteri, Yasu dan Bea Tanaka, telah berjaya mendekati penonton sasaran sejak dimulakan pada 11 September lalu.

    Menurut Bea, yang juga merupakan penerbit filem ini, tayangan “magiK” di tujuh lokasi berbeza di Semenanjung Malaysia melibatkan lapan sesi tayangan acara “magiK” Road Trip Screening.

    “Setakat ini, pihak kami sudah berjaya mengadakan empat tayangan khas filem magiK bersama penduduk setempat termasuk komuniti bermasalah pendengaran membabitkan lokasi di Kuantan,Terengganu,Kedah dan YMCA, Kuala Lumpur.

    “Tayangan khas filem ini juga ialah versi ‘closed caption’ untuk memudahkan penonton dari komuniti bermasalah pendengaran,”katanya.

    Filem magiK yang bakal menemui penonton dipawagam seluruh Malaysia pada 30 November depan memaparkan gadis pekak berusia tujuh tahun, Kit yang ini tinggal di perkampungan terkenal dengan kelip-kelip.

    1. Kuantan

    Lokasi pertama untuk tayangan khas filem magiK adalah di Kuantan, Pahang. Menurut pengarah filem ini, Tanaka, lokasi ini dipilih kerana penggambaran filem magiK berlangsung diKampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor yang terkenal dengan kelip-kelip.

    “Ramai penonton yang bertanya mengenai maksud huruf besar K yang juga judul filem magiK pada tayangan khas itu.

    “Saya menjelaskan kepada mereka huruf besar K itu melambangkan banyak perkara.“K adakah Kit (nama watak utama), K juga bermaksud kelip-kelip dan komunikasi serta K juga bermaksud Kuantan,”katanya.

    Tanaka berkata, selalunya dia akan mendapat idea baru dan inspirasi untuk menghasilkan skrip bila mengunjungi lokasi yang unik dan menarik di Malaysia. Katanya, dia juga boleh menyelami adat dan budaya masyarakat tempatan di setiap lokasi yang dikunjungi.

    “Terima kasih kepada pihak yang membantu menjayakan tayangan khas filem magiK di sana iaitu Addy Haikal, Warung Adri dan Pameran Seni Haram yang menjadi tuan rumah di Kuantan.

    “Mereka juga tidak sabar untuk mengembangkan komuniti seni di Kuantan melalui pelbagai bentuk seni seperti muzik dan filem,” katanya.

    Tidak ketinggalan, kata Tanaka, dia dan Bea turut berpeluang mempromosikan buku terbaru terbitan mereka berjudul “Visual Story Telling 2: How to Meet 42nd Sheep” dengan Pameran Seni Haram.

    “Syarikat produksi, 42nd Pictures lazim mengadakan kelas “Visual Storytelling” dan menggunakan buku karya mereka sebagai buku teks,” katanya.

    1. Terengganu

    Tayangan khas kedua filem magiK membabitkan lokasi di tepi pantai yang indah dan terkenal dengan tempat penyu bertelur untuk konservasi penyu iaitu Pantai Telaga Papan di Setiu, Kuala Terengganu.

    Menurut Tanaka, lokasi itu dipilih kerana ia bersesuaian dengan filem magiK yang juga menyentuh konservasi kelip-kelip.

    “Namun, lokasi itu paling sukar untuk kami meletakkan peralatan seperti projektor, pembesar suara dan skrin layer untuk tayangan wayang pacak diluar, katanya.

    Kata Tanaka lagi, magiK juga menyentuh isu alam sekitar dan karya dihasilkan juga sentiasa menekankan kepentingan komunikasi yang harmoni antara alam semula jadi dan manusia.

    “Seperti filem kami sebelum ini, Nota, kisah berlaku di tepi sungai dan seterusnya dilaut.

    “Seperti perubahan alam semula jadi mengajar kita bagaimana untuk hidup dengan aliran kitaran dan bukan melawannya seperti cuaca dan alam.

    “Malangnya, pihak kami tidak dapat menyampaikan filem magiK kepada masyarakat tempatan kerana hujan turun dengan lebatnya ketika tayangan filem itu di sana dan kami perlu meneruskan perjalanan lokasi seterusnya pada keesokan paginya,” katanya.

    1. Kedah

    Perjalanan paling jauh sempena tayangan khas filem magiK ialah dari Setiu,Kuala Terengganu ke Sungai Petani, Kedah. Tayangan khas di sana berlangsung di SPace08000.

    Menurut Tanaka,di Sungai Petani, SPace08000, telah menjadikan jalan belakang dan bangunan lama sebagai landasan untuk komuniti seni dan belia.

    Mereka saling membantu untuk berkembang dan terus bertahan. “Tayangan khas filem magiK disana juga dapat menarik pelbagai golongan masyarakat seperti pasangan guru yang mengajar golongan pekak sama seperti Bea.

    “Selain itu, ada lelaki Jepun yang menetap di Malaysia dan memberi sokongan kepada golongan OKU serta nama keluarganya juga Tanaka. Pada masa yang sama, ada juga pasangan pelancong dari Indonesia,” katanya.

    “Kita dapat kenalan baru dikalangan menonton tayangan khas filem magiK di lokasi terpilih dan setiap pertemuan adalah tidak ternilai,” katanya.

    1. YMCA, Kuala Lumpur

    Minggu Orang Pekak Antarabangsa sedunia di sambut pada hari ahad terakhir, September. Pelbagai acara dianjurkan untuk meraikan hari terbabit, dan Tanaka dan Bea memilih untuk mengadakan tayangan filem magiK di YMCA, Kuala Lumpur.

    Pasangan suami isteri ini berharap filem magiK akan menyumbang pengiktirafan kepada golongan bermasalah pendengaran.

    Bea yang juga bekas guru pendidikan khas masalah pendengaran selama 15 tahun berkata, mereka juga mahu berkongsi filem itu dengan komuniti bermasalah pendengaran sebanyak yang boleh.

    “Pihak kami bersyukur kerana YMCA, Kuala Lumpur menganjurkan tayangan khas sempena Minggu Orang Pekak Antarabangsa pada tahun ini dan ia sangat sesuai dengan filem magiK,filem mengenai seorang gadis pekak.

    “Barisan pelakon filem magiK yang turut hadir untuk tayangan khas ini ialah Qisya Hairulzain (watak utama Kit), Tengku Carmeela (Kit dewasa), Chacko Vadaketh (Zack). Carmeela juga pekak    dan ia juga penampilan pertamanya di layar filem,” katanya.

    Sementara itu,Tanaka dan Bea berkata, melihat reaksi penonton secara langsung pada tayangan khas dilokasi terpilih itu adalah kepuasan sebenar mereka setelah menghabiskan banyak masa dan tenaga untuk menyiapkan filem itu.

    “magiK adalah mengenai komunikasi. Ia adalah kisah mengenai sebuah keluarga di perkampungan yang terkenal dengan kelip-kelip.

    “Pihak kami bertemu dengan ramai orang sepanjang tayangan khas ini dimana mereka juga mempunyai kehidupan dan masalah mereka sendiri,” katanya.

    Kata Tanaka lagi, ada yang cuba bertahan dan ada yang meneruskan minat mereka dalam pelbagai bentuk seni.

    “Setiap bandar mempunyai komuniti seni mereka sendiri dan mereka juga     berjuang untuk terus berkembang maju.

    “Kami juga merasakan sangat dekat dengan mereka sebagai pembikin filem Indie,” katanya.

    Menyusul selepas ini, ada lagi empat tayangan khas filem magiK akan berlangsung dibeberapa lokasi selepas  ini. Jangan lepaskan peluang untuk menontonnya nanti.
