    Borneo Rock Festival 2023 Menampilkan 30 Band Terkenal

    Bakal berlangsung Borneo Rock Festival 2023 pada 30 Disember 2023 di Stadium Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Terdapat banyak perkara yang mengujakan pada hari tersebut.

    Borneo Rock Festival 2023 bukan hiburan semata-mata. Bukan hanya menjadi medan pengunjung hadir untuk berhibur dengan ‘bingit’ dan pulang tanpa meninggalkan impak dan momen terbaik. Begitu harapan besar daripada penganjur, Imika_culture.

    Namun di Borneo Rock Festival 2023 yang direncana berlangsung pada 30 Disember  2023 di Stadium Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, pengunjung akan mendapat pengalaman dan ilmu baharu yang tidak pernah diperoleh dalam penganjuran lain.

    Di Borneo Rock Festival 2023, penganjur mewarnai ia dengan gabungan pelbagai jenis seni sekaligus mengangkat budaya unik Sabah yang barangkali kurang diberi perhatian sebelum ini.

    “Selaku penganjur kami sangat berbesar hati untuk merangkumkan antara seni dan budaya lalu membawa tema Budaya Popular Dan Kontemporari dalam Borneo Rock Festival 2023.

    “Kami mahu Borneo Rock Festival bukan hanya menjadi pesta yang dianjurkan dan mudah dilupakan tetapi mahu menjadi tanda aras terhadap penganjuran festival yang bukan hanya meletakkan hiburan semata-mata tapi perlu memberi ilmu juga tentang seni dan budaya masyarakat setempat.

    “Harapan kami agar Borneo Rock Festival 2023 mencapai matlamat sekaligus boleh diteruskan penganjurannya pada masa akan datang sebagai medium buat generasi masa kini menikmati hiburan berkelas,” ujar Dato’ Abdul Rahim dari Imika_culture penganjur Borneo Rock Festival 2023.

    Oleh yang demikian, Borneo Rock Festival 2023 menampilkan 30 band terkenal yang akan membuat objektif penganjuran festival ini mencapai matlamat.

    Search, Wings, A.C.A.B, Hujan, Butterfingers menjadi tarikan utama Borneo Rock Festival 2023.

    “Sesuai konsep Borneo Rock Festival 2023, kami bawakan band-band ikonik bagi mewakili generasi muzik penggemar.

    “Search dan Wings adalah dua kugiran gergasi yang rasanya ‘berdosa’ untuk tidak dijadikan line up utama Borneo Rock Festival.

    “Kami juga membawakan the one and only Butterfingers dan the legendary A.C.A.B khusus buat fanatik mereka di Borneo.

    “Hujan pula sudah punya berlapis generasi peminat dan tentu saja nama mereka juga besar di sini,” katanya lagi.

    Vokalis Search, Amy, menyifatkan penganjuran Borneo Rock Festival 2023 sebagai inisiatif yang cukup baik daripada anak tempatan dalam menyatukan seni serta budaya untuk dihayati oleh pengunjung.

    “Search sangat tertarik dengan konsep Borneo Rock Festival 2023 yang bukan hanya mengangkat muzik rock sebagai ‘jualan utama’ tapi juga memberi peluang kepada band lokal dan komuniti seni serta budaya yang ada.

    Petaling Jaya, 3 November 2023 – MInggu keempat, Adira dan Emma masih ada perasaan berdebar dan takut bila berdepan  dengan juri! Walaupun takut, mereka  telah mengambil setiap teguran atau kesalahan  daripada Ajai dan Mummy (Mas Idayu) secara baik. Hal ini menyebabkan mereka berjaya meraih juara! Jom ikuti  luahan hati  Adira dan Emma yang telah dikongsikan bersama peminat mereka di TikTok LIVE pada hari Selasa yang lepas. Dengarkan apa kata mereka selama mereka mengikuti Famili Duo di TV3.

     

    “Ini adalah pertandingan dan bukannya persembahan biasa. Jadi, kami berdua sentiasa mempunyai perasaan berdebar untuk naik ke pentas kerana perlu memberikan persembahan terbaik. Lepas habis persembahan, rasa takut tu ada lagi sebab tunggu komen dari juri. Kami hormat Mummy dan Ajai kerana semua komen dan teguran yang diberikan mereka adalah untuk kebaikan semua peserta. Mereka ada ilmu dan tahu mana kekurangan kita dan bantu untuk kita baiki kesilapan. Mereka berdua tahu undang-undang nyanyian, undang-undang Famili Duo, apa yang perlu ditambah dalam persembahan kami. Apabila kita dah terima masuk pertandingan, kami juga dah buka ruang untuk dikritik. Jadi apa yang mereka komen itu kami terima seadanya,” tambah Adira lagi. 

     

    Emma turut mengaku takut untuk mendengar komen juri. “Kami memang menghormati setiap teguran juri kerana mereka lebih tahu dan berpengalaman. Ketika juri beri komen tentu ramai tengok muka saya seperti takut-takut. Betul, kami takut untuk tengok muka Ajai dan Mummy sama ada mereka senyum atau tidak, dan apa yang mereka akan komen. Kami memang tawakal sahaja masa itu. Saya pula sebenarnya mengambil langkah berdiam diri kerana takut tersalah jawab. Minggu ini tentu harapan para juri lebih tinggi sebab dah masuk minggu keempat. Ini yang buat kami jadi lebih takut dan risau!”

    “Apabila dah masuk konsert ketiga, kami baru faham konsep Famili Duo! Bukan vokal semata-mata tapi juri nak persembahan yang menghiburkan dimana semua orang boleh terhibur! Untuk membuatkan orang terhibur, tak semestinya menggunakan kos yang tinggi. Kita perlu ada idea yang kreatif dan menghiburkan. Yang penting all out and have fun! Dari kedudukan tercorot pada minggu pertama iaitu di tempat terakhir, tempat ketiga pada minggu kedua dan berjaya menjadi juara bagi minggu ketiga,” tambah Emma.

     

    Kedua-dua beradik yang mempunyai suara high pitch ini telah memilih tema dangdut / hindustan.     KUALA LUMPUR, 3 NOV 2023 – Finally, the much awaited time for gifted local sensation Ernie Zakri and her passionate following is over. Ernie just revealed that she will be signing with Universal Music Malaysia and that her debut solo album would be available on the company. After patiently teasing her followers on social media a few weeks ago, Ernie finally releases “AURA,” her first solo album under Universal Music Malaysia.

    ‘AURA is an album with a core message centered around self-affirmation and positivity. The album is specifically crafted by Ernie to bring comfort to those who find themselves hurting or wounded in the midst of life’s stormy seas. The album is an inspiration for people to embrace their ‘AURA, reminding them that every twist and turn in life is part of a grand design, and offers a gentle nudge to embrace imperfections without fear. Ernie explained about her latest masterpiece by stating, this album is really special because it speaks of a person’s source of strength. All the songs in this album serve as a form of advice, motivation and strength for those in need of support.

    To mark the introduction of this album, a track called ‘Masing-Masing’ was given the honour to become the album’s first official single in igniting ‘AURA. ‘Masing-Masing’ is a sad love song about breaking-up. Written and composed by Indonesian singer-songwriter Ade of the band Govinda alongside Nabila V, the track has its own tale to tell.

    Ernie added, “Mas Ade and I agreed to produce a sad love song with a twist. It sings of a couple who had to move on for the sake of their own personal happiness. Not all break-ups are born from arguments and misunderstandings. Some are spawned based on mutual understanding from both parties in order to attain personal happiness. I know many Malaysians love songs like this.”

    According to the star, the track was recorded in Yogyakarta, Indonesia with great ease. Ernie stated, “It didn’t feel like work but more like a holiday as everything went smoothly and very well. We only took one day for recording and half a day to shoot the music video.”

    The artistic music video features two dancers who tell the song’s story symbolically through intricate dance moves. Ernie elaborated on the Masing-Masing music video that there are two dancers who tell the tale through movement. Every dance move has a meaning. For instance, there is a scene where they fall down and that has a hidden symbolic message about what the song is trying to convey.

    The AURA album which sees the participation of several composers and producers took about a year of planning to meet Ernie’s specific requests. “I personally requested songs from the songwriters involved in this album. The recording for all the songs took about three to four months for completion. So I hope listeners will be able to comprehend what I am trying to say in this album. Hopefully, it can be a companion for those in need of comfort and strength,” ended Ernie with high hopes.

    Kim Lim, Managing Director of Universal Music Malaysia, also expressed confidence in Ernie Zakri’s ability and potential to go further in her music career under this label. “We have a meticulous plan to ensure that Ernie Zakri’s name is not only engraved in the hearts of Malaysian fans, but also in the region, especially Indonesia. In addition to producing quality music for fans, Ernie will also collaborate with several local brands as one of our strategies to develop her career.     The album features 10 tracks involving some of the biggest names in the regional music scene including Aubrey Suwito, Ezra Kong, Faizal Tahir, Amylea Azizan, Rozi Sangdewi, Helen Yap, Firdaus Rahmat, John Jeeves, Ade Govinda and a few others. It also sees the participation of Ernie’s husband, Syamel who contributed the track ‘Jangan Hilang Percaya’. Aura is set for release on all digital platforms commencing Friday, November 3rd 2023, while the music video for ‘Masing-Masing’ will be available on YouTube on the same day.

    Petaling Jaya, 1 October 2023 –  The celebration of “World Mental Health Day”,we want to raise awareness among Malaysians about mental health issues. The campaign is on the 10th of October 2023 and will run for one month. The collaboration OHBULAN!  with Mental IIIness Awareness and Support (MIASA) and Tiktok Malaysia to launch the Mental Health Awareness Campaign, Besties, Pape Roger’. They use the official online platform partner to announce the launch of this campaign.

     

     Mental illness has become an increasingly pressing issue in Malaysia, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. According to data, individuals seeking support through the Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), an initiative under the National Mental Health Excellence Center, Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), recorded a five-fold increase in 2022 compared to 2020 (Source: Berita Harian, October 10, 2022).

    Furthermore, the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2015 revealed that one in three

    Malaysians aged 16 and above faces challenges in mental health. In 2019, the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) reported that 2.3% of adults and 9.5% of children aged 10 to 15 years experienced mental health problems, with MOH predicting that these percentages are expected to continue rising.

     ‘Besties, Pape Roger’ Campaign Provide Information on Mental Illness

    Through a strong partnership with MIASA, the ‘Besties, Pape Roger’ campaign endeavors to offer precise insights into the fundamentals of mental illness, encompassing its various types, associated risk factors, and efficient management strategies. Furthermore, the campaign strives to challenge stigma and debunk stereotypes, fostering a more empathetic atmosphere while championing holistic well-being.

     

     Anita Abu Bakar, President and Founder of MIASA, said, “All mental illnesses have the potential for recovery, but they require a comprehensive approach and consistent treatment over time because symptoms often recur. Therefore, each individual requires varying durations to recover.

    ” She added that it’s not easy for an individual to accept a diagnosis of mental health problems because it comes with many misconceptions and negative labels. In fact, some individuals are in denial and lose
