HONOR Pad 10 Launches in Malaysia with Flagship Specs and AI Ecosystem Integration. HONOR continues to strengthen its momentum in Malaysia’s tech landscape, not only as a top-performing smartphone brand but also as the nation’s leading Android tablet maker. Holding the No. 1 Best Selling Android Tablet Brand title for 12 consecutive months, HONOR now sets its sights on further dominance with the unveiling of the new HONOR Pad 10, officially available from 30 May 2025. Riding on the overwhelming success of the HONOR Pad 9, the Pad 10 aims to elevate productivity with flagship-level features suited for both work and study.

At the heart of the HONOR Pad 10 is a 12.1-inch 2.5K HONOR Eye Comfort Display, which provides a stunning visual experience through an 88% screen-to-body ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. This high-resolution screen, paired with a wide DCI-P3 Color Gamut supporting up to 1.07 billion colors, ensures vibrant visuals for presentations, documents, or streaming. To reduce eye strain during long usage hours, HONOR has equipped the display with five layers of eye protection, including TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification and innovative AI visual enhancements.

Powering the HONOR Pad 10 is a massive 10,100mAh battery, making it one of the most energy-dense tablets in its segment. Designed for long workdays and classes, the device supports 35W wired fast charging, giving users peace of mind with rapid top-ups. In terms of portability, the Pad 10 weighs only 525g and is just 6.29mm thick, making it lighter and slimmer than its predecessor. It boasts a durable yet sleek design built using a 270-degree bending process, achieving a 29% reduction in weight.

One of the standout features of the HONOR Pad 10 is its integration into HONOR’s evolving AI Device Ecosystem. It comes loaded with AI-powered tools like HONOR AI Notes, AI Docs, Magic Portal, and HONOR Connect. These tools empower users to manage tasks more efficiently, offering smart document editing, real-time transcription, multilingual translation, and speaker recognition. The AI Summary tool is particularly valuable for meetings and interviews, turning spoken content into key summaries with action-ready suggestions.

Users can also enjoy seamless cross-device collaboration through HONOR Connect, which allows fluid file transfers, screen sharing, and device syncing between smartphone and tablet. Meanwhile, Magic Portal offers gesture-based interaction that intelligently launches relevant apps—perfect for productivity or everyday tasks like navigation, online shopping, and social sharing. The HONOR Pad 10’s PC-like performance is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset with up to 16GB RAM (8GB HONOR RAM Turbo) and 256GB storage. When bundled with the Smart Bluetooth Keyboard and HONOR Pencil, it transforms into a mini workstation for digital creators and professionals.

The HONOR Pad 10 officially hits Malaysian stores on 30 May 2025 at a retail price of RM1,499. Early buyers will receive a bonus bundle worth RM1,097, including a Smart Bluetooth Keyboard, HONOR CHOICE Pencil, and Active Noise Canceling Headphones. This launch is part of HONOR’s broader ecosystem expansion in Malaysia.

In addition to the Pad 10, HONOR also rolls out two new wearable devices on the same date—the HONOR Watch 5 Ultra, priced at RM1,099 with a stylish Brown Leather Strap, and the HONOR Band 10, retailing at RM199 with Blue Nylon and Black TPU Strap options. These wearables will be available exclusively online and complement the brand’s ecosystem with health tracking and smart features.

PIKOM Sets Sights on Elevating Malaysia’s Tech Leadership in 2025

As Malaysia continues to emerge as a prominent player in the global technology landscape, PIKOM, the National Tech Association of Malaysia, remains dedicated to driving the nation’s digital transformation and boosting its presence on the world stage. With 2024 marking a year of exceptional achievements, PIKOM is now looking ahead to 2025 with a renewed focus on fostering global partnerships, empowering Malaysian innovators, and expanding opportunities for the country’s rapidly growing tech sector.

In 2024, Malaysia’s tech sector experienced an impressive wave of global recognition, with local companies and innovators clinching prestigious awards and accolades at high-profile international events. At the WITSA Excellence Awards held in Armenia, Malaysian entities demonstrated their leadership in digital transformation. SIDEC (Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation) took home the Digital Opportunity/Inclusion Award for its impactful SME digitalisation initiatives, while Telekom Research & Development Sdn Bhd earned the Digital Transformation of the Year award for its Mobile Intelligent Network Diagnostic System (MINDS).

Meanwhile, the first-ever WITSA World Cup, a global competition for scaling startups, saw two Malaysian companies, PANDAI EDUCATION and ENTOMAL BIOTECH, claiming the top two spots out of 14 international competitors. This victory showcased the growing strength of Malaysia’s startup ecosystem and its ability to compete globally with innovative solutions in education and biotechnology.

At the ASOCIO Digital Summit in Tokyo, Malaysia also gained recognition for its ongoing efforts in digital transformation, with award winners such as the Ministry of Digital, Heitech Padu Berhad, and the National Cybersecurity Agency (NACSA) earning top honors for their contributions in areas like digital government, cybersecurity, and public-private partnerships.

Malaysia’s winning streak continued at the 2024 APICTA Awards held in Brunei, where local companies and startups secured top-three finishes across various categories. Highlights included myQuickHR winning the Artificial Intelligence category for its innovative AI-powered talent acquisition platform, and Meraque Services’ Hybrid AGV – RACE project claiming first runner-up in the Agriculture, Supply, and Sustainability category.

The recognition of Malaysian students in the awards also emphasized the importance of nurturing future talent. Projects from Wesley Methodist School Penang and Foon Yew High School earned awards in the Senior and Junior Student Projects categories, underscoring Malaysia’s commitment to fostering creativity and technological innovation from an early age.

As Malaysia builds on these outstanding achievements, PIKOM is working tirelessly to further elevate the country’s position in the global tech ecosystem. The association is committed to ensuring that Malaysian innovators—ranging from established companies to startups and even schoolchildren—have access to international platforms that offer exposure, mentorship, and opportunities for growth.

“As we look ahead to 2025, PIKOM is dedicated to strengthening Malaysia’s global footprint,” said Alex Liew, Chairman of PIKOM. “The success stories of 2024 are just the beginning. We will continue to empower local companies, entrepreneurs, and young talent by connecting them with global opportunities and expanding their international networks.”

PIKOM is actively encouraging Malaysian businesses to participate in international tech competitions, expos, and forums, where they can showcase their innovative products, collaborate with global players, and secure partnerships that can accelerate growth. The association believes that the exposure gained through such global events is crucial for Malaysian tech companies to scale and establish a strong presence in international markets.

Beyond competitions and awards, PIKOM is focused on creating a robust network of partnerships between Malaysian tech companies and global stakeholders, including investors, venture capitalists, and research institutions. The goal is to foster a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and technological collaboration can thrive, ultimately driving further innovation and digital advancement.

“We believe in the power of collaboration. By fostering strong relationships with international tech leaders, we can position Malaysia as a center of innovation and technological excellence,” said Liew. “In 2025, PIKOM will continue to facilitate cross-border partnerships and provide Malaysian companies with the resources and support they need to succeed globally.”

A Call to Action: Seize the Global Stage in 2025

PIKOM urges all Malaysian businesses, entrepreneurs, and students to take part in global competitions, hackathons, and tech events in 2025. These platforms are not only a means of gaining recognition but also a valuable opportunity to attract investment, expand market reach, and engage with industry experts from around the world.

“Participating in international events allows Malaysian innovators to showcase their talents on a global stage and gain access to critical resources, including mentorship and funding,” said Liew. “These opportunities are key to helping our local tech ecosystem thrive and ensuring that Malaysia’s future leaders are ready to make an impact.”

With continued support from PIKOM and other industry stakeholders, Malaysia is poised for even greater success in 2025. The country’s growing pool of tech talent, coupled with its commitment to digital transformation, positions Malaysia as a rising star in the global tech ecosystem. As the world increasingly turns to technology to address complex challenges, Malaysia’s innovative spirit will play a central role in shaping the future of the digital economy.
