  • WAYNE ROONEY IS FIRED

    WAYNE ROONEY IS FIRED

MANAGER: An unlucky start to the new year 2024 for former Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney following his sacking as Birmingham City manager after just less than 3 months in charge of the club.

Wayne Rooney was very sad and shocked to receive his dismissal at the beginning of the new year 2024.

At the same time, the football legend criticized the lack of time given to him to form the best team while with St Andrew.

The team managed by the 38-year-old former England captain and Manchester United star have lost nine of their 15 games with yesterday’s 3-0 defeat against Leeds being his ninth and final defeat as manager of the club.

UCL 2023/2024 – MANCHESTER UNITED LOSE

CHAMPION LEAGUE: Manchester United were unlucky when they narrowly lost   1-0 to Bayern Munich early this morning. Even more embarrassing was the defeat at home, the Old Trafford stadium. Manchester United completed a terrible Champions League campaign when they collected 5 points from 6 games for the Red Devils.

Kingsley Coman scored the only goal in the 70th minute for the German champions, who had already secured their place in the last 16, thus denying United the chance to at least continue in the Europa League.

United is currently sixth in the Premier League, and manager Erik ten Hag is under more pressure after a humiliating early departure from Europe’s premier competition.

United’s Champions League hopes have been hit hard from the start of the competition as they failed to win three of their four games against Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

It was only the fourth time an English club finished bottom of a Champions League group.

Ten Hag’s United continued to be hit by crisis last Saturday when Bournemouth won for the first time at Old Trafford and took home three points with a comfortable 3-0 victory.

The United manager recalled Raphael Varane to the starting line-up for the first time in almost two months.

The French defender was surprisingly left out by Ten Hag, but is expected to play a key role in the coming weeks when Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw were ruled out earlier this morning with injuries.

UCL – MANCHESTER UNITED FAILED TO COLLECT 3 POINTS IN ISTANBUL

Manchester United’s main goalkeeper, Andre Onana who failed to catch the ball was the reason why Manchester United did not bring home 3 points in the first game of the season.

Manchester United take home a point with Galatasary and are in last place in group A.

Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay scored for United in the thrilling match, but Erik ten Hag’s side remain bottom of Group A with four points from five games, one point behind Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

The three-time European champions’ dream of qualifying will be decided on the final day of group stage action after Copenhagen drew 0-0 at Bayern Munich.

The visitors took a 2-0 lead through Garnacho and a superb strike from Fernandes before Hakim Ziyech pulled one back with a free-kick following an Onana error.

McTominay put United 3-1 up shortly after the break but their advantage was short-lived as Ziyech tucked another free-kick under the arm of Onana and Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu equalized for Galatasaray in the 71st minute.

Galatasaray welcomed United to RAMS Park with a “Welcome to Hell” banner in one corner of the stadium and it was clearly aimed at Onana.

  • Manchester United – Garnacho With Acrobatic Goal

Manchester United – Garnacho With Acrobatic Goal

Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho scored an unbelievable acrobatic goal early in the game to help United to a 3-0 win over Everton this morning. With this win, United moved up to sixth place in the English Premier League.

The 19-year-old Argentina star produced an acrobatic flick to meet Diogo Dalot’s cross, slotting the ball into the corner of the net past bewildered goalkeeper Jordan Pickford before celebrating in the manner of his favorite star Cristiano Ronaldo at Goodison Park.

Garnacho’s goal appears to be similar to Wayne Rooney’s famous goal for United against Manchester in 2011.

Erik ten Hag’s United are currently sixth in the league table with 24 points after 13 games, while Sean Dyche’s Everton, who were 14th before being deducted 10 points for breaching the league’s financial rules, are second-bottom with four eyes

Rashford doubled United’s lead with a penalty in the 56th minute, awarded after VAR found Martial had been brought down by Ashley Young.

Martial then sent hundreds of Everton fans heading for the Goodison Park exit in the 75th minute when he rushed to meet Fernandes’ pass and poke the ball past Pickford for an easy goal.

  • Manchester United lost again in the Champions League

In an unexpected turn of events, Manchester United suffered a serious setback and are on the brink of an early exit from the Champions League after losing 3-4 to FC Copenhagen. Marcus Rashford’s red card changed the course of the game unexpectedly and put United in a very weak position. Rasmus Hojlund, a former player, took advantage of the situation and haunted his old team with two important goals in the first thirty minutes. United, who were originally expected to win, are now in a vulnerable position, raising concerns about the future of their campaign in the venerable competition

However, United’s momentum was hampered by Rashford’s red card, and they are now in danger of relegation following their third loss in four Group A games.

Before the half, the hosts equalized through penalties from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Diogo Goncalves.

United took the lead again through a penalty kick from Bruno Fernandes, but Lukas Lerager and Roony Bardghji scored twice in the final seven minutes to give Copenhagen its first UCL victory since 2016.

With two difficult games left, United is presently bottom of the group. On November 29, they play third-place Galatasaray, who have four points, and on December 12, they host Bayern Munich, who have already advanced to the knockout stages.
